Blast off!

So I finally decided on a few things for the playroom. I'm a little nervous about it but hopefully it will all work out. I chose these fun items to fill the space....and I'll show a picture of the room once it's done. Yay project! Hope the kids like it too :)

playroom

I am trying to finish our loft space and make it a great playroom for the kids, but I'm having trouble deciding what to do with the open space. I think I have some more direction after seeing this space. Sarah Hicks Malone's playroom looks fun yet stylish and practical. I'm thinking a tent is a great idea, and the round table is from target which is easy enough. A trip to Ikea may be necessary, ASAP!

I can't get enough task lighting, I just can't, but I really don't want to pay a fortune for it. Luckily, we have Ikea. I just wish they would let us buy something off their site!! Usually my neighbor and I make a day of it and pack up the kids and shop the store. It really is a great experience being there, even if it means no naps and long car rides :)

rug fever

My friend bought one of these vintage hand-woven rugs for her daughters room and it is so unique. I really love a natural soft clean looking room...i think that is what I am most drawn to, but when I see rugs like these, I just can't get over how beautiful and powerful the colors are. What a fun look for a playroom or outdoor space. They can be used as blankets or throws too. Check it out here at Twine.

This is just beautiful yarn. I wish I could knit! Maybe I could braid it or something...curtain ties? hair bows? Oh I'm sure I could find some good use for it :)

One Kings Lane has a great sale on John Robshaw today. I wish I saw it sooner...there is still some good stuff left though. It's easy to sign up and start shopping!! I just bought this cute rug for 30 bucks...not bad I thought :)
